Out of Town Patients Q and A

Dr. Taylor has several patients who drive or fly in for their procedures every month. Our office is only 15 minutes from the famous Las Vegas Strip. Out of town patients often enjoy some of the shopping and entertainment near our office before or after their procedure. There are many hotels, shops and restaurants within a short distance of our office. Below please find our most frequestnly asked questions and answers.

Q - Does Dr. Taylor treat out town patients?

A - Yes. Domestic and international patients are welcome. Several patients fly in for their procedure every month. After your procedure, you will be given all of the medications and garments that you will need for your recovery. Follow up appointments are at your convenience and are not required.

Q - Do I need a consultation first?

A - No. If you are under age 60, in good general health, and have not previously had liposuction in the areas you would like treated, consultations are not required. If you do not have the opportunity to schedule a consultation before your procedure, Dr. Taylor will spend extra time with you immediately before the procedure to make sure each of your questions and concerns are answered completely. Q - How soon can I fly after the procedure?

A - After your procedure you will not experience discomfort or soreness for about 6 hours. Most out of town patients can take advantage of this post-procedure window to fly home. Depending on where you live and how many areas you have treated, you can either fly home the same day of your procedure or you can spend the evening recovering at your hotel and fly home in the afternoon or evening of the following day. For example, if you have your procedure on Monday morning and you have less than 4 areas treated, you can fly home Monday afternoon or you can fly home anytime late Tuesday. Flying home in the morning following your procedure will be more difficult since mornings tend to be the time you feel the most soreness. If you are having more than 4 areas treated and you are traveling alone, you should fly home late the following day. If you have more than 4 areas treated and you are traveling with a companion, you can fly home at anytime. If you have 3 or less areas treated, you can fly home anytime and you can easily travel alone. If you have more than 5 areas treated, you should travel with a companion and you should plan on spending the night. If you are traveling the same day as your procedure and you are having more than 3 areas treated, do not plan on driving the day of the procedure or driving yourself home from the airport.

Q - How do I get to your office?

A - The decision to rent a car or take a taxi is a personal one. Remember, if you have more than 3 areas treated, you cannot drive yourself after your procedure. Round trip taxi service from the airport to our center and back costs approximately $80. We can arrange a taxi back to the airport or your hotel after your procedure is finished. Do not plan on taking the public bus. Ask us about booking a Limo.

Q - What is the closest airport?

A - The closest airport is McCarran International Airport. Depending on traffic, the drive from McCarran to our office is between 20 and 40 minutes.

Q - What hotel should I choose?

A - There are many hotels near our office. Prices range from $100 to over $1000 a night. that is on or near. Several upscale hotels in Las Vegas have special recovery suites for patients who have undergone plastic surgery. These suites afford additional privacy and attention, but they are unnecessary. You will not require any special services or an overnight nurse.

Q - How early should I arrive for my appointment?

A - Due to the unpredictable nature of travel, please plan your flight schedule so that you arrive several hours or the day before your appointment. Our procedure schedule is set in advance and we cannot accommodate patients who do not arrive on time for their appointment. Please arrive on time for your appointment.

Q - Do I need to bring anything or purchase supplies before my procedure?

A - No. You will be given all the medications, supplies, instructions and garments you will need for your recovery. You will not need to go to the pharmacy. If you are planning on traveling the day of your procedure, wear comfortable clothes (sweat suits are ideal) and please pack lightly since carrying heavy luggage immediately after your procedure is not advised. Are follow up appointments required? Follow up appointments for our out of town patients are not required.
